I worked for many years as a creative director and designer of motion graphics for television and film. I created award-winning productions and taught at UCLA before I decided to dive into a submersive exploration of painting.
The psychological, emotional, and political challenges of life fuel my work, which follows a thoughtful and introspective thread. My paintings are primarily figurative, exploring dislocation, rites of passage, and coming of age. Each canvas is animated with layers of paint applied in techniques ranging from thin, dripping washes to thick, impasto strokes.
