I was born and raised in San Francisco and have lived here all my life. I grew up in Bernal Heights in the late 60’s and the 70’s. I now live in the Excelsior District of San Francisco. After retiring from the San Francisco Fire Department as an EMT, I pursued my passion for art. I’ve always been an artist at heart, but now I have the time to immerse myself in the arts.I am currently studying sculpture at City College of San Francisco. There, I’ve had the opportunity to sculpt in stone like alabaster and marble, wood, clay and plaster. As a self-taught painter, I combine vibrant and exaggerated colors to cause movement and vibrations. My paintings and sculptures reflect my appreciation and gratitude for the landscapes and the stories that are told in human experiences. I paint what I love and what I feel and I hope to evoke a sense of nostalgia and an emotional response with my content and composition.
Certain things catch your eye, but pursue only those that capture your heart.
